Sinfully Delicious!

City of Sin is a delicious story of betrayal, secrets, sex, romance and love. Mason Caldwell is an advertising executive and one of the city’s most notorious bachelors with a reputation for his love of underground sex clubs. He is the ultimate alpha male and no woman has ever said no to him. Bee Cowen is a sweet and caring secretary who is struggling to get over being dumped by her fianc� after following him to NYC after college. She agrees to a blind date with Mason in hopes of moving past her heartbreak and getting on with her life. Bee and Mason have insane chemistry and go through many ups and downs. He’s keeping secrets and she’s unsure if she can trust him even though she is falling for him. Mason is intrigued by Bee’s inexperience with men and sets out to woo her into bed in any way that he can. What he doesn’t expect is to start to fall for Bee.
Smoak knows exactly how to draw the reader in and hook them from the start. She effortlessly incorporates characters from her other books into the storyline to make the reader feel connected even further (hello James and Penny!!!). Mason and Bee are lovable characters who you can’t help but fall for. In fact, all of the characters in City of Sin are interesting and well developed and leave the reader wanting further books centered around them. City of Sin is another great book by an author who has quickly become one of my favorites.

Great Short Story!

How Dare You, Ms. Smoak! I have been dabbling into reading erotic fiction recently and I must say that a lot is not well written. But this…Great short story! I was all self-righteous, like, “this guy is a jerk. How could she even talk any further with this guy.” I continued to turn the pages, laughing here and there and OMGing at other places. I liked the way the story switched to each characters point of view. Then I was all, “Bee, Don’t fall for the okey doke, typical…she did”. I continued to read on. Then it was over and I was like, “What! But what is going to happen, who is “he”, where is she going”. I was on the edge of my chair. Then, I had to laugh out loud. I was “Bee” wanting more. A newbie ready to dive right in. LOL. And darn it, Part 2 is not out yet! I said, I am not reading anymore of her books, how dare she leave me hanging in this way. (Guess you could call me, Mason, now!) lol. Next thing you know, I was on her facebook page downloading Roommate. Bravo, Ms. Smoak you got me! Keep em coming, I’ll keep reading.

Bee was so pathetic I couldn't finish the story.

She was whiny and a doormat. Six months after the breakup she still has him listed as her fiance on social media while he is hugging the new girlfriend on his page. He took all the furniture when he moved on so she sits in an unfurnished apartment watching TV, rubbing the spot where her ring was while hoping he'll change his mind and decide to come back to her.
She allows her boss to sexually harass her, took a job beneath her skill set and doesn't understand why she's not taken seriously.
