Regally!

This can't help being a very valuable book, simply because it is the first one in its field on this particular brand of instruments. As a collector of fretted instruments I own several pieces that I finally am able to identify as Regals (built under various brand names) - thanks to this book. Focuses on facts and relevant details, rather than myths and allegations. Nice large pictures too. Recommended to collectors and dealers and invaluable to builders and restorers of comparable instruments.

Learn the real story behind the Regal Instruments

Most of us involved with vintage instruments tend to attribute anything we can't identify to Regal. Way too much misinformation is out there, including too many Regal built instruments attributed to the Larson Brothers. This book really fills in some holes in what has been up until now seen as common knowledge. This book and Hubert Pleijsier's Washburn Book bring the story of the Lyon and Healy/Regal Instrument connection into focus. A must read for serious students of the genre.

Well researched

This volume is a very handy reference for all instruments that Regal made. It presents a concise historical timeline of the company and is filled with photo examples of the multitude of instruments they made. There is much information here for both the curious and the collector. Regal made some very fine instruments as well as some instruments that were not so well made and this book can help sort out the good from the bad.
